So its been a while since I have posted any journal entries and to be honest thats a shame! so much has happened for me to share but sadly I haven't. BUT NO MORE!

This Sunday I re-learned a valuable lesson. We get so caught up with work and life's ins and outs that we totally forget to appreciate the wonderful things happening around us every day.

Late last night after some life/work/family stuff, I sat in my car for a good 15 mins, dosing off while waiting to head east with my girlfriend, when my good friend Kris called. Kris- "Ey brucey, yuh have yuh camera?" Me- "yeaah why?" Kris- "check out the moon the eclipse is almost complete. I know you is a man real like dem kinda tings" When I actually stretched my neck outside and saw it I was really taken back "ok ok cool I gonna get a couple shots!"

The first thing I thought was "Damn I don't have a tripod on me" Then I remembered I had a light stand! After fiddling with that and adapting a flash holder to support my camera I started shooting.

The fact that I love astronomy and everything space and yet I was almost going to just let this go by without even looking at it made me realise that every day life gets to us sometimes and we can't let it do that. Take the time to enjoy the simple things. Put away your phone and just take life in as it happens or make time to do what you love. Don't forget what's really important. Hope everyone enjoys the photos.
